About Me

My photo
I have been a Stampin' Up Demonstrator for almost two years now, and when I signed up it was just for the starter kit and discount on products........ I never imagined it would snowball into being a business like it has. I am a new Mummy to my little boy, Isaac, who is almost four months old now. I am spending my maternity leave enjoying watch him grow up, becoming his own little person, and also trying to build my business up. Stampin' Up! have amazing products and I would love to share my crafting passion with as many people as possible. I am always putting through orders, so if you need anything, or just want some information or advise, please do not hesitate to contact me. If you want to try before you buy, then check out my classes and get booked on.

Sail Away.......

Hello.......

How nice has the weather been?  Maybe not everywhere, but my back garden has been so sunny.  I'm sure the water is still chilly, but being at the beach these past few days would have been lovely I'm sure.
With that thought in mind, late this afternoon I decided to pick up my new Sail Away stamp.  This is in the mini catalogue right now and is an "a la carte" stamp, great value, and really good for male cards.  Always something I struggle with a bit.

So I was in the bathroom earlier on, stay with me as this is leading somewhere, and I happened to notice the box of tissues and it made me wonder if I could stamp on tissue.  I'd been thinking of using this stamp with vellum, but I don't have any, so thought I'd give the tissue a go.

Let me know what you think.......  personally I think it turned out pretty good.

I used two way glue pen to adhere it to the marina mist card which I had embossed with the lattice squares embossing folder.  It really helps to just add something a little extra to the card.
I do feel something is lacking in the top right corner though, so will be adding a couple of perfect plum brads, but they won't be here until my order arrives on Wednesday.

Hope you like it xxx

The Details:
Card / Paper - Tissue (any brand will do!) / Marina Mist / Perfect Plum
Stamps / Ink - Sail Away / Concord Crush (In Colour)
Embellishments - Perfect Plum Brads (to be added)
Tools - Trimmer / Lattice Square Embossing Folder / / Snail / 2-Way Glue Pen / Stampin Scrub & Mist

Penguin Mania

Hello......

The card I'm uploading today was actually made about a week ago.  I made four cards tonight for various birthdays and anniversaries, even a new home one, but I seemed to be finding my inspiration in retired Stampin' Up! stamp sets, so I thought I'd post this card instead as it uses the Two-Step Owl Punch which is in the Mini Catalogue that's out now.

My friends Jenny and Richard will be celebrating 8 years of wedded bliss in May, and they are both mad about Penguins.  I haven't sent them the link to this blog yet, so I'm safe to post this now.

All I did was punch the main body of the owl and then chop of it's ears......I was gentle.......hey presto, a Penguin!
The punch also pops out the little chest pieces, the various size circles for the eyes and even the tiny hearts - so cute don't ya think?

I hope they like it!

The Details:
Card / Paper - Whisper White / Basic Black / Poppy Parade (In Colour) / Daffodil Delight (for the tiny little beaks / Designer Series Paper Pack - In Colour (level 1 hostess gift)
Stamps / Ink - Something to Celebrate (level 2 hostess gift) / Poppy Parade (In Colour)
Embellishments - None
Tools - Trimmer / Two-Step Owl Punch / Snail / Dimensionals / 2-Way Glue Pen / Stampin Scrub & Mist

Thanks x

Summer Splash - well it's the weather for it!

Evening......  well, the decorating didn't really get too far, so I took the opportunity this evening to sit down and make a card using the Summer Splash clear mount stamp set from the Mini Catalogue.
This set almost passed me by, but when I placed my first order I spent enough to qualify for some free products and this is the stamp set I went for.
I have to admit that I did get inspiration from this from the web - I think CASEd is the term?  So thanks to Mary Brown.

Seeing as the sun has been shining again today, I went for some nice bright colours.

I don't actually have a scallop border punch, so I used my imagination and worked with the pretty small sided 1 1/2" scallop square punch.  I thought the Tempting Turquoise looked kind of like the sea lapping against the sand, with the Tangerine Tango being the wet sand and the Daffodil Delight the dry sand.  What do you think?

I don't have many stamp sets with sentiments in, so this happy birthday was stamped from the now retired Punch Bunch Sale-a-bration stamp set.

The Details:
Card / Paper - Whisper White / Daffodil Delight / Tempting Turquoise / Tangerine Tango
Stamps / Ink - Summer Splash / Punch Bunch SAB (retired) / Daffodil Delight / Tempting Turquoise / Tangerine Tango
Embellishments - None
Tools - Trimmer / Block C / 1 1/2" Scallop Square / Snail / Dimensionals / Stampin Scrub & Mist

Thanks x

I should be doing other things!

Hello blogging world!

I should actually be helping to decorate the spare room, but my mind has been on blogging all day.  I'm new to this and have no idea what I'm actually doing, but I've somehow managed to set up an account, add links to the Stampin' Up! catalogues, add some blogs I follow, so I thought I'd try a post too.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures or actual crafty bits to add in right now, but hopefully, if the decorating permits, I will get some cards made and pictures and details up later this week.

How exciting - 1st post - done :o)
